i-SkillSuite® – Police Edition is a flexible, competency-based HR management application, specifically designed for Canadian police services.  Developed around a national inventory of best practices and rank profiles – from Constable to Chief -- this system is designed to support the growth and development of frontline and leadership talent, from recruitment to retirement.  The Police Sector Council provides i-SkillSuite® – Police Edition as a free service to all Canadian police services.

This software application is designed in a modular format that will easily align and integrate with your existing HR system.   Based on the needs of your organization, you can build and develop a comprehensive approach to HR using the following modules.

Competency Library
Provides a Competency Dictionary as well as profiles and associated task lists for all ranks – Constable to Chief.

Assessment
Perform self-assessments or review self- or multi-rater assessments for any profile.

Learning
Create or review learning plans based on assessment results or developed from scratch.  You can also search this module for additional learning resources (publications, on-the-job activities, etc.) that aid in career development.

Interview Builder
Create, view, print or share interview guides for specific job profiles.

Access to instructive guides, research and tools to enhance your HR management.

Access

There are two levels of access to i-SkillSuite® - Police Edition :

1) Access

Provides general access to individuals who want to explore the system's tools and resources. Users are able to REVIEW and PRINT content but are NOT able to save data (i.e. profiles, assessments, etc.) to the system.

2) Pilot

Designated for services who want to implement the system to integrate with and enhance their existing HR management information system. This provides full access to the system where organizational data can be customized and saved according to a service's needs. Services seeking PILOT access are asked to contact the Police Sector Council (Geoff Gruson) at ggruson@policecouncil.ca or 613-729-5959 before registering.



Register

To Access i-SkillSuite® – Police Edition, please complete and submit a Registration Form. The registration process is administered by the Canadian Police Knowledge Network (CPKN). Once your registration is processed (1-3 business days), you will receive an email confirmation from CPKN that includes access and login details. There is no registration fee.
